Working to end male violence and self-harm through education, engagement, and empowerment.
Our unique experiential workshops, rooted in a broader view of masculinity, empower all people to notice and intervene in potentially harmful situations long before they become violent. We offer programs for youth, youth-serving adults, fathers, and interested adults.
We work directly with middle and high school students to explore connection, masculinity, identity, and power. Our programs foster positive social-emotional growth and interpersonal skills.
We provide professional development that helps staff, teachers, and coaches implement violence prevention pieces into their daily work with students. Our training is cited as "the most valuable professional development" by participants.
Maine Boys to Men brings together health care experts, non-profits, businesses, and parents. We believe the environment—families, schools, and peer culture—are the key agents of change.
The RSVP® curriculum is highly adaptable and can be used with a variety of age groups and all genders. It is grounded in research, evidence-based practices, and third-party evaluations.
Following our training, teachers often start professional learning teams to implement pieces of RSVP® into their work with students, creating lasting cultural change in schools.
We are the only organization in Maine that specifically engages men and boys in advancing gender equity and creating safer communities for all.
Through our Training Institute, we share our 25 years of experience with others who can in turn help us reach more youth across Maine and beyond.
Join us in our courageous commitment to end male violence.
